Beef

During the spring, summer, and fall, our cows spend their time on pasture along with our sheep, where there is a mobile shelter and access to water. In winter, the cows and sheep go into our barn on deep-bedding until the grass is ready to be grazed again in the spring. We use rotational grazing practices so that they have access to fresh grass and so that the pasture has time to regrow before the animals graze it again. This involves moving the animals from paddock to paddock in the pasture every day or so. This allows our pasture to improve from year to year. Our cows only eat grass or hay; no grains. They are grass-fed and grass-finished.

Our cows are raised over two years and ready in the fall. Customers can purchase a 1/4-cow, 1/2-cow, or whole-cow and are given a cut sheet to inform us of the cuts they desire. The packaged beef is ready for pick-up a few weeks later. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for 1/4-cow, $100 for a half-cow, and $200 for a whole-cow.
